Metaphysical worlds

Project #2: METAPHYSICAL WORLDS (2011) – architectures

The second project was present in Krosno, Poland. Pecho’s author programme is extended by a new theme – the Metaphysical Worlds – architectonic scenery. Inside his world turned inwards, he sets on a journey to the exteriors of non-existent architectonic objects. It is unclear, whether these objects are reachable or not. The author disguised the scenes with a veil of secret using nets, roots or other lines, which shade the temples from the direct contact. The name of the project implies that the author did not renounce the philosophical aspect of his work. The artworks bear names such as: V objatí plynutia času/In the Arms of the Time Lapse, Epicentrum čistej energie/Epicentre of Pure Energy, Záhuba/Doom, Údolie mŕtvych/Valley of the Dead, Nádej/Hope, Skalnatý chrám/Stone Temple, Pán všetkých chrámov/Lord of All the Temples, Veže osudu/Towers of Fate, Brány nebeské/Heavens Gate, Chrám vykúpenia/Redemption Temple, Chrám rozkoší/Temple of Delights… The colour spectrum is extended mainly by yellow and blue. Also, new techniques are used – ink drawing and watercolour painting.

In the composition schemes, vertical lines of the architectures contrast with the horizon itself, which, in some cases, separates the water surface from the surroundings. A new element of the author’s iconography emerges – windows, eyes or oculi. They invite the viewer inside.
